The Telectroscope
The Telectroscope was to be the granddaddy of optical fiber, enabling people standing in front of a humungous lens in New York City and another in London to interact with each other, albeit silently.
A tragic breach in the ocean tunnel's wall halted work on the project in 1892, and for a century, the Telectroscope was left for a failed relic. But artist Paul St. George revived (and thoroughly updated) the idea this year, at last creating the Telectroscope.

Now people can see from New York to London and vice versa through it. I thought it was cool so I brought it here.
