Partnership draws praise for McEntire, Clarkson on the road

Pop and country music have collided for only 15 tour dates featuring superstars Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson.

The 2 Worlds 2 Voices Tour will go on Saturday at CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, and fans will be treated to the duo's Grammy-nominated hit "Because of You" and maybe even McEntire's 1991 hit "Fancy," which closed the tour's opening show.

The pair began developing their friendship during Clarkson's "American Idol" days when Clarkson invited McEntire to come on the show and sing "Does He Love You?" with her.

"She's half my age, but we have a blast together," McEntire said on her Web site.

"We have a lot of the same influences and likes. She's a people person, so am I, and it's just a lot of fun to hang out with her."
