Underwood, Kenny Chesney top country charts

Thursday, November 1, 2007 – Carrie Underwood had the best selling CD in the U.S. last week of any genre with "Carnival Ride," while Kenny Chesney topped the song chart again with "Don't Blink" for the week ending Nov. 10.

Underwood's album sold more than 500,000 units, easily earning her the number 1 spot.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss were second on the overall and country chart with "Raising Sand," while Gary Allan debuted in third on the overall and country charts with "Living Hard." Underwood displaced Rascal Flatts' "Still Feels Good" at the top as that disc fell to fourth. Reba McEntire's "Reba Duets" fell thee to fifth.

Dwight Yoakam debuted in 11th with his tribute to Buck Owens, "Dwight Sings Buck." Shooter Jennings' "The Wolf" debuted in 12th.

A big mover was a compilation disc, "Songs 4 Worship: Country" in 20th, up 7.

On the song chart, Dierks Bentley remained second with "Free And Easy (Down The Road I Go)." Underwood's first single, "So Small," was up one to third. Garth Brooks' "More Than a Memory" s making a comeback up the charts as the former number one s now fourth, up two. Tim McGraw was fifth with "If You're Reading This."

Several songs climbed three spots - George Strait's "How 'Bout Them Cowgirls" 6th, Clay Walker's "Fall" was 7th; Josh Turner's "Firecracker" 8th and Taylor Swift's "Our Song" 10th. Montgomery Gentry's "What Do Ya Think About That" was 13th. Rascal Flatts moved up 3 to 20th with "Winner at a Losing Game."

The biggest mover was Billy Ray Cyrus with daughter Miley, aka Hannah Montana, up 4 to 23 with "Ready, Set, Don't Go."

On the overall top 200, Rascal Flatts was 8th and McEntire 14th,.
