Lakisha Celebrates A Birthday

Our very own Lakisha turned 28 on January 13th. Lakisha certainly has a lot to celebrate this year as she is currently playing the soloist in the Broadway musical "The Color Purple". She also stands in for Chaka Khan as Sofia during the matinees. With her big voice, Chaka should worry I think.

Another event is that Lakisha is the spokeswoman for the clothing line Torrid who makes woman's plus sizes however if you have not seen Lakisha lately, she has lost quite a bit of weight and looks fantastic. She also has had her teeth fixed which kind of makes her look like Mandisa in the face.

She has signed with Dave Lombard who has handled artists like TLC, En Vogue and Johnny Gill to name a few. Apparently she will be hitting the studio after May to start recording her debut album which has been said to be a soulful one.
