Looks like he has his CD coming out May 6.

Chris Sligh’s new single, Empty Me, will be released to the Christian radio stations on February 22, but some stations may release it as early as 2/15.

I will check out his myspace but have to say I am not sure if I will like just hearing him sing Christian music. I loved his voice on the show and am hoping he will put out a different type cd later. However, thanks for the info.

Okay, this is an update on my previous statement. I did go to Chris's myspace and listened to the new single "Empty Me".
I really like it a lot. He sounds great and it does not sound overly Christian in spite of the lyrics. Don't get me wrong I do like some Christian music but some of it kind of sounds the same. However, this is a very good song I think and quite meaningful.

I will definitely be giving his cd a listen in May.

I do like some Christian music also. Not all, and I did enjoy his new song. I guess I wasn't aware that he was going to put out Christian music, not that it's a bad thing because I liked the song, but I guess I was a little surprised.

I'll be checking out his Cd as well to see how I like the whole thing. I wish him lots of luck.

This sounds pretty good. I hope they play it on my station out here. I was also surprised 'cause while on Idol he said he'd rather do pop.

A lot of christian music can sound the same. I like some of it. My favorites are usually the country-christian songs. Such as Long Black Train, Jesus Take The Wheel, Three Wooden Crosses, Have A Little Talk, Small Town Southern Man etc.
